We do offer several aluminum rv steps that feature 4 steps. You will want to either know what brand steps you are replacing or need to measure the mounting location of the steps you have on your Heartland.
I have attached a link to our product page for the 4-step aluminum trailer steps. These steps vary by mounting width and also by the drop for each step, so you will want to have an idea how long you want the steps to be.
You can visit the attached link and use the filters to choose... view full answer...
The Econo Porch trailer Step with Handrail and Landing # EHS-103-R does fold. This unit folds laterally, in order to fold the steps you would have to detach 8 braces to allow the steps to fold. Then reattach these braces when you were ready to use the steps again. The handrail is also removable and interchangeable to either the right or left hand side.
For your reference I have included a photo showing these steps folded. view full answer...
I spoke to my contact at Race Ramps, she told me that those are the correct weights for the Race Ramps Trailer Step - 15-1/2" Lift - 24" Long - Qty 1 # RR-2STEP-24 and the Race Ramps Trailer Step - 15-1/2" Lift - 36" Long - Qty 1 # RR-2STEP-36. She said that they were both made of the same materials, but the core is a light weight densified material so just because a product is larger than another doesn’t mean it’s weight will be too much greater.
So, yes the Race Ramps Trailer Step -... view full answer...
While you can't add a single step to your double steps, you can replace them so long as you have the right distance from the ground and width of doorway of your travel trailer.
For example, the SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps # LC791572 is a triple step that is for 26" to 29-7/8" doorways and for a doorway entry height of 27" to 36" so if these were your measurements you could use this step. You also need to have the same mounting bracket dimensions of 22-1/2" wide x 10-1/2" tall x 6"... view full answer...
While there are steps you can use for a pickup truck, electric trailer steps cannot. Instead, there are options such as the Carr Custom-Fit Side Steps # CARR125001 which fit certain model year Ford trucks, or you can use running boards or nerf bars.
I have added a link below to our entire selection of steps, running boards, and nerf bars for you to check out, or if you let me know the year, make, and model of your truck I can make a recommendation for you. view full answer...
Just the steps without the mounting are not available for the Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps for RVs - Triple - 9" Drop/Rise - 24" Wide # SMFP-3200L. view full answer...
You are correct. the RV steps we offer are 24-inches wide regardless of the amount of steps.
I recommend installing replacement steps like part # SMFP-4400. These are 24 inch wide steps. The mounting base dimensions are 27 inches wide x 9-inches deep. You would need to build up the mounting location on your RV to work with these steps. view full answer...
According to my research, you can technically add plastic diamond plating on a plastic trailer step fender like the CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fenders w/ Top and Side Steps - Gray Plastic - 12" # CE19502-2. However, with the amount of labor that is required with that process, I recommend purchasing metal fenders that already have diamond plating. For example, the CE Smith Single Axle Trailer Fender - Aluminum Tread Plate - 13" Wheels # CE17960ATB.
I went ahead and linked a product page... view full answer...
The TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 3 Steps - 375 lbs - Black Bracket # TLA7833 is sold as a complete unit and comes to us from the manufacturer as a complete set. view full answer...
The Single Axle Trailer Fender # HP56VR is made of 14 gauge steel and has one edge that is a 90 degree angle to weld it to your trailer and the other has a more rolled edge. The strength of the fender and ability to hold 200 lbs is based on your mounting. To stand on this fender, you will need to not only weld the edge but also as you stated add brackets which will support the weight. The steel is strong, but I recommend using brackets that can hold the weight on their own to ensure... view full answer...
The RV steps I recommend that are closest to the dimension you gave for the mounting bracket is part # LC432682.
These steps have a mounting dimension of 25-1/4 inches x 8-3/4 inches. The steps are 24-1/4 inches wide and 8-1/4 inches deep and have a 7-inch drop/rise. view full answer...
The TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 4 Steps - 25-1/2" Base - 375 lbs # TLA8104 is their part number A8104. I don't know where you are seeing their pricing but I couldn't find it online to compare. We get our pricing directly from them, so we are offering the best price we can. I wonder if the difference is in shipping or if they are not including the Landing Gear, but can't confirm.

I spoke with Lippert but they were not able to provide much information on the color of the under side of the last step on the Alumi-Tread Manual Pull-Out Step part # LC432698. That said, I searched our reviews and the most recent ones show the underside of the last step being black.
There would not appear to have been any notable design changes. view full answer...
Most of our bumper guards like the Bully Black Bull Hitch-Mounted Step for 2" Hitches # BBS-1102 are labelled as "hitch steps" since that is usually their primary function and bumper guard is a nice extra feature. Not all hitch steps are bumper guards though. They can be found in our towing catalog under accessories and hitch covers.
We have some fun options in that category, from the Hitch Stair # RHS2 if you want TWO steps to the WeatherTech BumpStepXL for extra bumper protection. For... view full answer...
The TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear, # TLA8004 can be used on a 5th wheel same as on a travel trailer. The part number you linked to # TLA8004 is for an entry height of 32-1/2" to 44". If I follow your statement correctly on your concerns with installation, it sounds like the Lippert Outriggers for RV Steps, # LC301704 may be what is needed. view full answer...

It was a typo and the 10mm and 12mm in the instructions should have been referred to as M10 and M12 bolts; the socket sizes are correct for installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13364 or etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98854 on your 2009 Volkswagen Routan.
You can see this in the linked installation video I added of this hitch being put on an '09 Routan. view full answer...
if you are intending to place two of the BROPHY Scissor Steps, part # SS04 side by side, you may have a difficult time attaching them together and still be able to use the scissor feature without interference from the attaching hardware. I have attached a photo of the # SS04 when it is folded you can take a look at. As you can see, there is little room for any hardware that would allow you to bolt it to another unit.

The CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers - 60" Tall - Black - 1 Pair # CE27646 will either be set at that fender width or you'd need to notch out your galvanized plate to get your desired width. A third option is to heat the metal and bend it so it fits around the ledge and then come back vertical which would of course void the warranty but would solve your problem without changing the trailer structure. view full answer...
